Ayurvedic Health Counselor

A 12-month course designed to provide a formal Ayurvedic education, preparing holistic health practitioners and clinicians as well as lifestyle counselors. It will help health care and wellness professionals, as well as interested individuals, integrate this ancient science of life into their work and daily lives.

Graduates will be qualified to teach the basic principles of Ayurveda and conduct Ayurvedic lifestyle consultations. It also serves as the basis of our optional second- and third-year programs, all NAMA-approved professional programs in Ayurveda.

Taught via a combination of Zoom (web conferencing) and in-person classes at our Florida classroom

  • Classes held one weekend per month from 9am-6pm
  • Students have access to online program as well as recorded weekend sessions
  • Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and gain clinical experience at a three-week program at a leading Ayurvedic treatment center in Southern India, where Ayurveda originated. -Fees not included in tuition
  • Individuals completing the first-year program will be awarded the distinction of Certified Ayurvedic Health & Wellness Consultant and are eligible to apply for the Ayurvedic Health Counselor Professional Membership of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA)

Admission Requirements / Prerequisites

At least 18 years of age
Minimum of high school diploma or general equivalency diploma
Completed and approved admission application
$50 non-refundable application processing fee

Fluent in verbal and written English or Spanish, depending on course
Prerequisite/Co-requisite: 4 credits of college level Anatomy & Physiology or equivalent
